WELCOME TO THE RAMLA NEIGHBOURHOOD

THE peaceful, calm and friendly WEST BANK

Villa Elhag is located in the area called Ramla on the West Bank of Luxor. The landscape at Luxor West Bank is quite rural, with traffic-free dirt roads, herds of goats and some shack-like houses. It’s peaceful, calm and friendly, with an almost village-like atmosphere. The locals will get to know your faces and they will make you feel very welcome by their smiles and hellos each day.

In the neighbourhood you will find plenty exciting things to do such as renting a bicycle and explore the narrow  village streets, the farmers fields and the true Egyptian hospitality in the Ramla area. Or if you prefer to take it slow and more local, you can go for a camel or horse back ride.

Go shopping for souvernirs in one of the small souvenir shops and enjoy the sunset from the roof terrace from one of the  attractive local restaurants. Prefer cooking for yourself? Don’t worry, you will find several shops to do your groceries in the neighbourhood.

A CAMEL RIDE

Want to travel more local style? Hop on a camel or horse and feel more connected to nature and local lifestyle. Our neighbour stable will be happy to guide you.

RENT A BICYCLE

Close to the local ferry on the West Bank you will find a shop that rents bicycles. Don't feel up to all the hustle? We can arrange the bicycles to be ready for you at the Villa.

SAIL THE FELUCCA

Plenty of felucca and motorboats ready to take you on a tour. Need any help? We are happy to arrange you a trip starting at the Pump Station right next door!
